Amelia has been deeply involved in numerous research projects, non-profits, and community groups in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. She conceived and created both ElderPride and ConneQT NB and is currently working on The Aging Rainbow, a postdoctoral research project. Amelia has worked with AIDS NB, the Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health, SOGI NB, and myriad other local and national organizations.
