Amelia has been deeply involved in numerous research projects, non-profits, and community groups in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. She conceived and created both ElderPride and ConneQT NB and is currently working on The Aging Rainbow, her postdoctoral research project. Amelia has worked with AIDS New Brunswick, the Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health, SOGI NB, and other organizations, local and national.
